If the title is confusing, this link may help. ... ... ok here's a super huge beach post! First Andrea, Shane and their daughters! Then Mel came home. We got to meet baby Vivian, and made a "Frozen" castle for Princess Elsa, aka Sammy. With Ava, Pat and Lydia we made sand castles and played with bubbles. All these photos were taken at Conrads Beach. Its super nice for photos but not as nice as Queensland for swimming. This blog post was lacking funny stuff or rambling. hmmm. Next time I promise.
Cheers, Sarah

Katie and Richard are Doctor Who fans. We're shooting their wedding in August so we did a Doctor Who themed engagement shoot . I know almost nothing about Doctor Who, I'm more of a Supernatural girl myself. But I do spend quite a bit of time on Tumblr, and we all know that Tumblr consists of Supernatural, Sherlock and Doctor Who. So I know a bit about the show. unnnn there's a lot of Doctors, some have scarves, theres a funny robot that South Park parodied..... But most importantly there's the Tardis! We just happen to have a Tardis here in Halifax. Annnd it just happened to be locked. I did try my best to pick the lock,(I've picked locked before-thats right I'm Batman) but this lock proved a worthy foe. That lock may have stopped me from opening the Tardis but we got some awesome shots.
We did a family shoot at Sullivan's Pond in Dartmouth on the weekend. We also took slow motion footage of bees!!! So cool, We're thinking of starting a youtube vlog, (cus everyone needs to see more of me) and the slow-mo bee footage would be awesome, I don't have my channel going yet so heres a still! ANNNNDD here are the family photos!! ......ok ONE more bee picture. All bee pics were taken by Shawn!
So much shooting, so little blogging. I can "hear" my friend/marketing guy chewing me out for not blogging regularly. Whateves, he won't read this.......*shifty eyes* First in the blog line up is Layal, Noor and Mostafa! Layal is seven months now and super sweet. Thanks for looking!!
Cheers, Sarah Unnnnnnn I hate not knowing how to start blog posts. I'll just start typing... So here we have the WONDERFUL SAM!! We met Sam while she was a hair dresser at One Block and became awesome friends. Sam moved to Life Spa and wanted some fun pictures to put up in The Coast to advertise her move. Seriously, Sam's skin in the second photo KILLS ME. Sam's a beautiful human being inside and out. The last photo is of Sam's cat Doey, who was more than willing to help tear the sheet down. Here's Krishna. He's currently sitting here playing Diablo 3 with Shawn. NERDS. Now they're making fun of each other and sarcastically narrating each others game play. For Krishna this is 1 of 5 portraits we're doing for him. They were to be entered into a contest, but we got side tracked and missed the submission date. This one was not for the contest. This was just for my amusement. The original photo had Jerry Seinfeld in it and was an ad for American Express. This version is slightly better. Yup. Definitely better. Krishna didn't pose for this picture, lol, I found that on his Facebook. Cheers, Sarah We got to shoot Halifax Circus's Winter Solstice Show. It was filled with amazing routines, talents and people. I can't state enough how much I love everyone at the circus, they are all wonderful, kind, loving human beings, every single one of them. I'm so happy that I get shoot these shows for them. There's A LOT of images and I want to put them all up, so grab a tea/coffee or i(nsert beverage here), and let's go.
.... I don't like that song, but it makes for a fun blog title. Anyways!!! It has been too long. I keep meaning to write blog posts, but then I just sit there, starting at the screen, not knowing what to write, giving up and go on tumblr. There are so many photo adventures to write about, Sam our wonderful friend and hair dresser needed photos for The Coast, Halifax Circus had a wonderful winter show, we went to a Frat party and then Valentines. For Valentines we offered vintage valentine cards! The lovely Danielle provided hair and make-up and posing tips for everyone. We took our idea from old Valentines. Heres what we did... Still with me!!? Sweet. We also did two custom valentines for some preschoolers!! Spider-man and Anna from Frozen. Cheers,
Sarah & Shawn Back in October we did a family shoot for Tamara, Trevor and their daughter Jordyn. We wanted to do a composite photo and Tamara suggested we turn one of Jordrn's drawing into a photo. I wasn't sure how I wanted to do this. I started out trying to do a "literal" interpretation of Jordyn's picture... Like having the sun two colours, making the rainbow super small and stretching out the subjects. After plenty of failed attempts I took the elements of the photo and placed them in semi realistically. .. except the floating hearts... those look just like they do in real life .... .... I'm was ok with the end product. I gave to it Tamara and waited nervously for her response. She liked it and said it got "smiles all around from Jordyn" That's what matters to me, even if I'm not sure about what I did, it made someone else smile.
Cheers, Sarah Incendia Motus is a circus troop that spits hot fire. (!! Dave Chappelle reference!!) Shawn and I love them and now you will too!!
This is a pretty weak blog post but the photos will make up for my lack of rambling... I swear. Oh click on the smaller images to enlarge them!! Cheers, Sarah |
