If the title is confusing, this link may help. ... ... ok here's a super huge beach post! First Andrea, Shane and their daughters! Then Mel came home. We got to meet baby Vivian, and made a "Frozen" castle for Princess Elsa, aka Sammy. With Ava, Pat and Lydia we made sand castles and played with bubbles. All these photos were taken at Conrads Beach. Its super nice for photos but not as nice as Queensland for swimming. This blog post was lacking funny stuff or rambling. hmmm. Next time I promise.

We did a family shoot at Sullivan's Pond in Dartmouth on the weekend. We also took slow motion footage of bees!!! So cool, We're thinking of starting a youtube vlog, (cus everyone needs to see more of me) and the slow-mo bee footage would be awesome, I don't have my channel going yet so heres a still! ANNNNDD here are the family photos!! ......ok ONE more bee picture. All bee pics were taken by Shawn!
It's finally summer!! That means wedding and engagement photo shoots! Our first engagement shoot and wedding this summer was and will be with Shauna and Neil. We headed out to .. geeze I forget where now. You know that place where you can get a boat over to McNabs Island. Side story, Jp wants to take Shawn and I geocaching there AND he says there used to be a "midget" house on the island. But when I goggled this I found nothing. I hope he's right. Last time we were there I got attacked by barn swallows. But I got some cool pictures. Ok here are the photos!
That rhymes Marge and you know it rhymes, admit it. Yes, this shoot was filled with poops, on all the things but look at the pictures!!! This little guy was a trooper...hehe that also rhymes with pooper... He stayed happy and cozy for the entire shoot, except the 3 times I tried to put an owl hat on him. I tried some new edits with the shoot. I borrowed a tablet from a friend and practised drawing frame overlays in photoshop. It took 3 X-File episodes to be able to make lines that weren't insanely crooked. I think they look pretty sweet, it's something I'll definitely keep doing. Also HOW AWESOME IS X-FILES??? Like what was I doing with my life in the 90's? Not watching X-Files, ugh. It's like Supernatural but with ALIENS. So good. Cheers,
Sarah So much shooting, so little blogging. I can "hear" my friend/marketing guy chewing me out for not blogging regularly. Whateves, he won't read this.......*shifty eyes* First in the blog line up is Layal, Noor and Mostafa! Layal is seven months now and super sweet. Thanks for looking!!
Cheers, Sarah Unnnnnnn I hate not knowing how to start blog posts. I'll just start typing... So here we have the WONDERFUL SAM!! We met Sam while she was a hair dresser at One Block and became awesome friends. Sam moved to Life Spa and wanted some fun pictures to put up in The Coast to advertise her move. Seriously, Sam's skin in the second photo KILLS ME. Sam's a beautiful human being inside and out. The last photo is of Sam's cat Doey, who was more than willing to help tear the sheet down. Here's Krishna. He's currently sitting here playing Diablo 3 with Shawn. NERDS. Now they're making fun of each other and sarcastically narrating each others game play. For Krishna this is 1 of 5 portraits we're doing for him. They were to be entered into a contest, but we got side tracked and missed the submission date. This one was not for the contest. This was just for my amusement. The original photo had Jerry Seinfeld in it and was an ad for American Express. This version is slightly better. Yup. Definitely better. Krishna didn't pose for this picture, lol, I found that on his Facebook. Cheers, Sarah Sometimes coming up with an idea is the hardest part of photography. Many of my clients see awesome images on Pinterest or in magazines and want it for themselves. This past weekend, Sheryl wanted a Christmas image to send out to family and friends. She came to me with this sweet photo she found on Pinterest ,left most image, and the right most image is what we created! Check out our Facebook Page to see the rest of what we created.
Cheers, Sarah You might recognize Meaghan and Josh from their wedding photos we did this summer. They wanted Christmas photos with their four cats. Besides being wonderful, caring people they're also the super fun clients. Meaghan's request for photos was, "You do whatever you want." *eeeekkkkkk!!!!!!* It just so happened that I had been hankering to put people in snow globes. And put them in snow globes we did. Afterwards we hung out and I took some photos of their cats. Luchador, has a squinty eye and reminds me of a pirate. He looks even more like a pirate with an eye patch. Hrmmmm maybe I should try to give him a peg leg and a parrot. .....
Cheers, Sarah It's quite fun wrapping people up in Christmas lights. This image is one of my most requested Christmas photos and I never get bored of recreating this image. I love seeing how each kid reacts to having their patents wrapped up! This year we added to the image by turning to around and tangling up the kids as well.
There's still plenty of time to book a holiday photo shoot!! Cheers, Sarah This was a really fun shoot! I've known Shyann since high school. She was up here for a weekend and wanted to get some photos done with her Mom, Sandra and daughter, Keira. Keira was a smiling machine as you'll see. Since it was wicked cold outside on Saturday, and everyone was from away, I decided to do the shoot in the Chocolate Lake Hotel lobby. I was a bit worried about this idea.. if it would be busy, the quality/colour of the lights and if it would look we were in a hotel. My fears were.. umm what's the word..? unfounded?? hmm Whateves, what I mean is that I was worried about nothing. The images are beautiful, Shyann, Sandra and Keira were such wonder company, and we stayed nice and cozy inside. All in all it was an awesome shoot!
