I loved how it came together. I also added the Clever Girl reference from Jurassic Park. I figured it was fitting since I used a velociraptor !!
Cheers,
Sarah
I hate dinosaurs... I don't know how to finish that sentence. Also it's a very confusing way to start a blog post for an image featuring a dinosaur. OK, how about this, I hate scientific dinosaur stuff but enjoy dino memes, cartoons, them eating people etc. This image was inspired The Simpsons episode Bart Sells His Soul. Bart sells his soul (just like the title promised) to Milhouse for five bucks. He then buys one of those sponge dinos that you add water too. He figures that when he adds water the dinosaur will grow huge and eat Lisa. Shawn and I looked everywhere for these sponge dinosaurs and couldn't find them. So we had to make our own. The first two that Shawn made were sad and hilarious looking ... there are no words. Only tears from laughing. Our friends, JP and Melissa, have two awesome kids we love taking photos of. Emilia was super excited for this picture. She loved playing with the hose and soaking the dinosaurs Shawn made. I loved how it came together. I also added the Clever Girl reference from Jurassic Park. I figured it was fitting since I used a velociraptor !! Cheers, Sarah

I looked away for a second to help Laura out of the soy bean field. I heard Shawn yell and looked to see him stumbling out of a very deep mud puddle with only one shoe. The last time I've seen Ian laugh that hard was when Shawn and I were wrestling around Pat causing him to slosh his drink all over himself. I think we all peed ourselves laughing, just a little. Early in the day I did lose my keys but I found them!! YAY!. But earlier than that, Laura, Ian, Shawn and I headed out to Wolfville for Laura and Ian's maternity photos. I can't get over these photos. Laura, you are one stunning pregnant lady!!! And Ian your modelling prowess never fails to amaze me. Shawn, I love how you found the only foot sized mud puddle on the whole road. Cheers, Sarah P.s To whoever is reading these.... thank you. Thank you for taking the time to come here and read my ramblings and look at my photos. You are all awesome. ANNNNNNDDDDDD we met MANTRACKER. He was super nice. OK back to the circus. While at our friend Erin's bday party last Saturday, we met some new freinds. Erin's party was spaced themed so Shawn and I both wore galaxy tights. We notice another couple, Cait and Brandon, WITH THE SAME TIGHTS. Short story shorter, we're now friends. Oh and crazier than the matching tights we were all wearing, Cait has been friend with my younger brother since grade school and knew who I was! INSANE! Then Brandon balanced a chair on his chin DOUBLE INASNE. Then Shawn played guitar!!!! NOT AS INSANE MORE BEAUTIFUL ACTUALLY. Cait and Brandon are part of the Halifax Circus and we ended up taking photos of them along with Danger Mike and "normal" Mike at the Sports and RV show. IT WAS SO FUN. These guys are so amazingly talented. Thank you all for letting me take your pictures!!! Cheers, Sarah & Shawn This lady may have stole the show. Danger Mike is cracking that fire whip in the last photo which makes a HUGE BOOM. I yelled.
I'm finally done the XMen In Training featuring Xander series. It's taken all summer but it's done. WHEEEEEE!! I love the images. I hope Xander loves them too. It's super awesome creating these images for kids. I hope when they "grow up" they'll still have them and remember how cool I was--- I mean how cool THEY were. LOL. So I know the XMEN don't have a mechanical spider villain.....yet. (shifty eyes) But I figured it wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility so... boom mechanical spider! I love love love doing images like these so thank you Lisa and Ed for allowing me to create these. If any of you want crazy images leave me a comment or shoot me an email and let's do it!!! You can see Xander's other two images here and here. Here's some extras from the shoot!
Moose and Noor had their baby!! (check out their maternity shoot here) Her name is Layal and she is just too wonderful for words. Noor is such an amazing mother and Moose is the proudest Dad ever. Noor's mother has been staying with them and she warms our hearts. She is truly amazing! I can't say enough nice things about their family. I'm excited to photograph Layal as she grows up.
Cheers, Sarah & Shawn That title needs work. I love Alice In Wonderland. I love the books, the made for t.v. movie and most of all I love the Alice games(American McGee's Alice and Alice: The Madness Returns). I don't think I like the Disney Alice In Wonderland however. I don't think I've ever used Alice that many times in a sentence. OK anyway- I wanted to make a series of Alice images that I hadn't seen done before. Years ago I tried to use a pop-up book as the background for an image I was doing. It was Beauty and the Beast and I tried to put a person in the book, as Belle, with the Beast. It didn't work at all. Not even a little bit. But that's when I was younger and suckier at Photoshop. Now I'm older and way better with Photoshop. ----weird how the old me was the young me--- Shawn and I bought an Alice In Wonderland pop-up book and asked our LOVELY AND WONDERFUL friend Danielle if she would model for us. And model she did. Danielle was amazing. She helped soo much- she came up with how to wear her hair, her make-up and what she felt Alice should wear. AMAZING. You know who else is amazing? 1.Shawn, for helping with the hours of Photoshop this one image took. Shawn watched Photoshop tutorials with me and helped me analyze the lights and shadows and how to add them into this image. 2.Erin. Erin works at Just Us, with Danielle. She made us the coffee that kept us going while we were editing. Erin also gave us helpful critique when we needed it. Enough rambling here's the first in the series of three Alice images. ENJOY!!! Cheers, Sarah ....did you find the cat?
